The Centre was completed in 1999 and construction of the Retail Park commenced in 2003 and was completed in 2006. The design brief for the development specified retail friendly spaces for all the ground floor units which involved minimising the number of columns to ensure flexibility for tenants increasing the height of the first floors to accommodate future mezzanine floors and to relocate bracing away from display windows.
